Robert H. Carlson, DDS

Growing up, Dr. Carlson moved around a lot because his father was in the Army. When his father retired, they settled in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduating high school, Dr. Carlson proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Once he returned home, he began his career in the dental field by earning his Associate of Dental Technology. He ultimately wanted to be more involved with patient care and decided to become a dentist. He received his Bachelors of Biological Science in 2004 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He then moved on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in May of 2008.
With new techniques and technologies being developed all the time, Dr. Carlson believes that continuing education is a vital part of practicing dentistry and remaining a top Vineland dentist. He has been continuing his own education with such prestigious organizations as the MISCH Institute, the Center for Advanced Dental Education, Progressive Orthodontics, Invisalign, CEREC, and the Pankey Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS), and the LSU Alumni Association.
Dr. Carlson has been married for over 35 years to Victoria, and together they have one daughter, Vivianne. His hobbies include woodworking, building and operating CNC machines, puzzles and games with his family, and outdoor activities like fishing and volleyball. As a new resident to Vineland, New Jersey, he looks forward to participating in community projects.
